Senior Backend Engineer (f/m/x)

We at RENNSPORT are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help us on our journey to be the future of digital motorsport! A successful candidate will work hand-in-hand with the game, frontend and app teams in crafting the best possible experience to engage with our game content! We look forward to hearing from you!

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the backend architecture and services
Collaborate with the development team to design and implement new features
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs with the UX team
Write clean, maintainable and efficient code
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies

Your profile

3-5 years of experience as a Backend Developer
Experience working in agile development teams
Strong understanding of relational databases
Good understanding of message brokers
Experience working with microservice-based systems
Strong understanding of at least one backend language
Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
Familiarity with code versioning tools such as git

What would make you stand out?
- Strong experience in Go
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of underlying web technologies (HTTP, TCP, QUIC)
- Experience with Apache Kafka
- Experience with Kubernetes and Agones
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Familiarity with Google Cloud
- Familiarity with GitLab
- An eye for architecture and long-term maintainability
- Previous employment in the gaming industry
- Sim racing experience and passion
